The Office of Undergraduate Research (UGR) invites you to a relaxed, come-and-go event where students can explore how to get involved in research at Texas A&M—over coffee and cookies, of course!
Hosted by our Undergraduate Research Ambassadors, the Café offers informal Q&A sessions, peer support, and networking opportunities in a casual setting. Whether you’re just starting to explore research or need help emailing faculty, finding a project, or polishing a resume, our Ambassadors are here to help.
Faculty & Staff: Curious how UGR staff or Ambassadors can support your students? Stop by to learn how we can partner with you to introduce undergraduates to research.
This event is open to the public, and our Ambassadors—representing a variety of majors—are excited to chat with you!

This program seeks to involve eligible undergraduates in the “graduate student” experience by introducing them to the academic publication process and scholarly community. Submissions from teams writing a joint thesis (maximum of 5 students) are also welcome. This program also serves to standardize the format of undergraduate theses published at Texas A&M University.
Under the supervision of a Texas A&M University faculty mentor, Undergraduate Research Scholars engage in a two-semester (fall-to-spring) research project that culminates in a public presentation and written thesis. Throughout the academic year, students write theses in progression and must meet intermediate submission deadlines. All projects and theses must be completed within our program dates.
Counselor Connect offers Texas A&M University students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the counseling process and resources within University Health Services. Students can pick from various activities to participate in while interacting with counselors, creating an informal and laid-back environment.
During these 15-minute sessions, students will learn strategies for self-care that can improve any area in their lives! Counselor Connect aims to reduce the stigma around mental health and create a safe space on campus for connection.
Although this is NOT an individual counseling session, it is an opportunity to engage with a mental health professional and discuss strategies for self-care to give students the tools to achieve their academic goals. By attending a Counselor Connect event, students acknowledge that University Health Services cannot guarantee the confidentiality of the conversations that occur during each event.
